Q&Aよくあるご質問と回答
-
- Do LED tail light indicators cause high-flashing (flashing too fast)?
LED lighting consumes much less power than standard incandescent lighting.
In spite of its advantages, replacement of turn signal bulbs with LEDs will cause what is called hyper flashing. Please use the resistor that comes with the tail light. Some products have built-in resistor. Also, some vehicles may require a resistor (sold separately), because of the warning light for burnt out light bulbs being turned on. Please call us for details.
-
- Does the OIRAN tail light pass periodic inspections required by the Japanese regulation?
OIRAN tail lights have acquired the E mark as the safety standard compliant products. E-mark logo is stamped on the product which meets ECE
regulation. However, it depends on each inspector’s final judgement. Please note we cannot guarantee that the product will clear the vehicle inspection.
-
- Where can I find the E-Mark?
The E-Mark is stamped on the surface of the product. The place varies depending on the product.
-
- Can I install the tail light on 12-volt truck?
Yes, you can install it depending on the product. Please check the specification before you purchase the product.
-
- How long do these LED lights last?
Generally speaking, the lifespan of LED light bulbs is long. The product is composed of multiple parts.
The actual life of the product varies greatly due to the effects of the operating environment such as climate or vibration as well as what part it is or how properly it is assembled.
-
- Does the product ever leak water?
Our tail lights employ thermo-compression bonding in assembling lens onto the body, which makes them highly waterproof.
Unless it is installed improperly, there should be no operating problems under normal conditions.
※Do not use chemicals such as high-pressure washers, thinners, or organic solvents when cleaning. This may cause water leakage.
-
- Does the product come with warranty?
Yes. The tail light has 1 year warranty from the date of the purchase.
The other products such as accessories and bulbs have different warranty depending on the product number.
-
- What does “All-in-one tail light” mean?

-
- Can I purchase the resistor separately that comes with the tail light?

-
- Where can I find the E-mark number of each product?
Please refer to the list on the official website of the OIRAN.
-
- Can I buy only one side (RH or LH) of tail lights?
Available. Please let us know the product number of the tail light when you place an order.

-
- Which tail lights are suitable for my truck?
Basically, any tail lamp can be installed as long as the power source and the mounting location are secured.
Some vehicles may require a resistor (sold separately). Please check before installation.
-
- Can I install a product or a replacement of the tail light by myself?
The tools and work required vary depending on the vehicle, as well as the experience and skill of the individual.
If you have any concerns about the work, we recommend that you contact a specialist.
(Please note that we are not responsible for any damage caused during installation or failure due to improper installation.)
-
- Is there a problem with the resistor getting hot?
The resistors get hot as a result of converting the consumed power into heat, which is not a problem.
Please avoid any resin or wiring part which can melt easily when you install it.
-
- Where should I mount the resistor body?
In order to ensure long life of the product, it is recommended to install the product in a place where it will not be directly exposed to mud or snow melt.
Make sure you mount your resistor on to a metal surface, because the resistor does get hot when you install it.
Also, please note that enclosing the entire resistor body may cause deterioration due to the built up heat.
-
- A coupler typed tail light doesn’t fit my truck. What should I do?
You can easily connect the coupler fo the tail light with your truck by using conversion harness.
You can also connect the coupler typed without a conversion harness by connecting each wire (on the truck side and the tail light side) directly.

-
- Does lens of tail light fog up?
The inside of the lens may fog up temporarily due to the surface temperature of the lens dropping by the car wash, sudden changes in weather or
temperature. The inside of the tail light is equipped with vents to adjust the internal temperature, humidity and air pressure. The fogging will be eliminated over time by the circulated air inside.
-
- Shold I caulk the tail light?
Normally, you don’t have to waterproof or calk the tail light, because the lens and the body are bonded by Thermo-compression. This method prevents
any moisture from seeping into the tail light. Please don’t caulk the hole (vent) on the back because it adjusts internal temperature, humidity and air pressure.
